My Skincare Must-Haves

Face wash, Moisturizer, Vaseline 

When all else fails in my skincare routine (aka too tired to do anything else) these are the three products that remain standing. I use them everyday. Well I ~usually wash my face everyday but sometimes it's just too hard. 

+FACE WASH: CERAVE FOAMING FACIAL CLEANSER

My dermatologist (from high school, I'm not fancy anymore) recommended this product and it’s one of my long time favorites. I’ve used it consistently for about 2 years now, 10/10 recommend. (Buy on Amazon for $7.69)

WHAT I LOVE

• I love the way it lathers and it really leaves my skin feeling clean, and it smells clean
• I think this has helped my skin stay clear and the added ceramides help keep it soft and smooth
• It claims to be non-drying and non-irritating, and that is 100% true
• You can turn the top and click it close, I love when pump bottles have this feature, it helps avoids so many messes
• The bottle I have is 12 oz and I feel like it has lasted me forever (honestly I can’t remember how long I’ve had it haha)

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

• I’ve struggled with acne for a decade now and have gone through my fair share of face washes. Thanks for birth control (and I think I'm ~finally growing out of it, knock on wood) my skin stays relatively clear. This product has been great to me for both of these stages of my face
• It claims to be developed with dermatologists, and was recommend to me by a dermatologist
• Ideal for normal to oily skin types
• FUN FACT “ceramides help moisturize, restore and maintain the skin’s natural protective function” This cleanser has ceramides (to help repair the skin barrier) and niacinamide, which apparently helps produce more natural ceramides in the skin
• Non-comedogenic, non-drying, non-irritating
• Also has hyaluronic acid, which attracts moisture

+MOISTURIZER: NEUTROGENA OIL-FREE MOISTURIZER

This has been a long time favorite of mine. I really love and trust Neutrogena’s products and have used this moisturizer for years now. If you’re looking for a basic moisturizer this is it. 10/10 recommend (Buy on Amazon for $9.97)

WHAT I LOVE

• I’ve dealt with acne since I was 12 years old and this has never made me breakout or provoked more acne
• It moisturizes well while also feeling lightweight, i.e. it doesn’t feel like your clogging your pores
• Another great bottle design with a top that turns to close, great for traveling

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

• There’s SPF 15 SPF 30or no SPF options, I purchase the one with SPF 15 because protecting your skin from the sun is important
• The bottle is 4oz and it goes a long way, I think I buy a new one maybe every 6 months

+VASELINE ROSY LIPS

Better than regular vaseline because it has a pink tint to it (I bought it in December hence the Christmas trees.) Some people love chapstick, I love this for morning and night and then use chapstick during the day as needed. (Cheapest at Target for $1.79)
